Brooke Preston Signs With Lee University


Brooke Preston committed to run track for Division II Lee University
on Friday. During Preston's four-year career at Dayton Christian, she
has advanced to the OHSAA Regionals three times, and she ran at State as
a sophomore. She currently shares the school recored for the 100-yard
dash as well as the 4x200 relay. 

"Brooke is a very determined, goal-oriented person whose favorite
activity in soccer as well as track is to 'run 'em down,'" said
Assistant Track Coach Gordon Carlson. "On a personal level, I have found
her to be a delightful, honest, and upright girl. I think she's going
to do great at Lee."

It took Preston a while to decide on a college, but she is satisfied now with the fit she's found at the Cleveland university.

"I've had a long college search," said Preston. "I visited school
after school, but I always found some flaw that made me unwilling to
commit. Lee was the last university I visited, and I felt like I was

Preston will major in communications and minor in theater at Lee.
