Warrior wrestler Andrew Hoskins recently signed with Campbellsville
University, a school with three individual state titles under its belt.
With a season record of 39-2 (twenty-two of which were pins) and a third
place spot at the OHSAA state wrestling championships this year,
Hoskins looks to deepen the bench at the Kentucky school.

Assistant wrestling coach Mark Adams had high praise for Hoskins.

"Andrew wrestled for half a year and had a 39 in 2 record. That is
just phenomenal," said Adams. "He scored over 213 points for the team
throughout the season because of this pin points. In fact, he was
crucial to our being a really good dual team because we could count on
him to put the other kid on his back."

Although Hoskins is an elite wrestler, it is his character that impressed his coach the most.

"This was Andrew's first year with us," said Adams. "He was quiet at
first, but even with all the things that happened this year (with
ineligibility), he kept a positive attitude through the adversity.
That's what you want to see. It's satisfying knowing he's going out into
the world with a such a good attitude. If he can take the adversity in
his high school wrestling career that he's had this year, and carry that
over ito the rest of his life, I have no doubt he will have success in
college, his family, and his relationship with God."

As for Hoskins' future at Campbellsville, he is looking forward to the small school feel of Campbellsville.

"I like a smaller college," said Hoskins. "I'm from a small town and I
thought it would be easier to adapt to a college life in a small

Hoskins plans to study criminal justice at CU in the hopes of becoming a police officer or a truant officer and wrestling coach.

Congratulations, Andrew! We look forward to hearing about your future successes!
