Monday, September 28, MVS students Lilly Dunning (’17) and Alyssa Clements (’17)
competed at the Girls’ Golf Division II Sectional Golf Tournament at
WGC Golf Course in Xenia. Both girls played well; Dunning finished with a
94, and Clements finished with a score of 80, her personal best.
Clements placed 4th overall and will advance to districts.

Dunning rebounded from a tough start and showed a lot of fortitude
through her final nine holes, putting together a streak of pars before
finishing with a 94, just four strokes off the final individual
qualifier.

“Clements played the front nine beautifully at one over par and stayed strong on the back,” said golf coach Tyler Benedict ’09.

The D-II District Tournament will be at Pipestone Golf Course next Wednesday, October 7.
