Yellow Spring's Olivia Chick has An Amazing Swimiming Career

Olivia Chick just wrapped up her swimming career at Yellow Springs with more great results for her senior year, she finished 4th in state in both the 100 Freestyle and 100 backstroke.  Not only was her senior year impressive but she excelled in her previous years.

Freshman year 2013-2014- OHIO HIGH SCHOOL STATE MEET  200 free-6th   100 Free-7th

Sophmore year 2014-2015-OHIO HIGH SCHOOL STATE MEET 200 free-6th      100 free -6th

Junior year 2015-2016-District Champion- 200 free and 100 free
                                     OHIO HIGH SCHOOL STATE MEET 200 Free-5th    100 Free- 3rd

Beyond going to state four years she was also The Metro Buckeye Swimmer of the Year for 3 years and she was on the Metro Buckeye Conference First Team all 4 years.

Olivia is a also two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.  She swims year-round with Dayton Raiders. A long-axis stroke specialist, she has Winter Juniors cuts in the 100 free and she competed in the 50/100/200 freestyles and 50/100/200 backstrokes, as well as the 50 fly at the 2016 NCSA Spring Swimming Championships. Chick’s best SCY times are:

  • 50 free – 23.94
  • 100 free – 50.98
  • 200 free – 1:50.26
  • 50 back – 26.63
  • 100 back – 57.11
  • 200 back – 2:03.84

After signing with Michigan State University she commented . "I come from a long line of Spartans! After visiting campus and learning more about what all Michigan State has to offer in the classroom and in the pool, it just felt like the perfect fit for me. I am really looking forward to the next four years ahead of me! Go green!"
