Dayton Christian Announces New Coaches


The Dayton Christian Athletic Department is pleased to announce several Varsity Head Coaching hires that have taken place over the last few weeks of the school year.

Please help us welcoming the following coaches to their new roles:
Fall Sports: Varsity Golf – Head Coach Aaron Zollars. Coach Zollars served as the Head Junior Varsity Golf Coach during the 2010 season. Aaron has coached various youth athletics in the Dayton area. He has also served as the Golf and Boys Basketball Sports Rep. to the DCS Athletic Boosters the past two school years. He is employed by State Farm Insurance Agency and has an office on Far Hills Avenue.
Varsity Boys Soccer-Head Coach Steve Vaughn. Steve returns to the helm of the boys’ soccer program after serving as the varsity assistant coach during the 2010 season. Coach Vaughan began coaching and teaching Bible classes at Dayton Christian in 1988. He has spent 14 years coaching in the Dayton Christian boys’ soccer program with five of those years as the varsity head coach. In 1993, he transitioned his career into financial services and currently is the President of Financial Counseling, Inc.
Winter Sports: Varsity Boys Basketball-Head Coach Joshua Snyder. Coach Snyder assumes the Heading Coaching duties with over 10 years of colligate coaching experience. He most recently served as a Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach at Wright State University and has served as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Olivet Nazarene University, the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Cincinnati Christian University and as a basketball coach for Athletes in Action. Coach Snyder is employed as a Math Teacher at DCHS.
Spring Sports: Varsity Baseball-Head Coach Linden Kurtz. Coach Kurtz served as a Varsity Assistant Baseball coach this spring. Coach Kurtz is a 2005 Dayton Christian graduate and the son of DCHS English Teacher Mr. Greg Kurtz and DCHS Administrative Assistant Mrs. Linda Kurtz. He is a 2009 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and is employed at DCHS as a Chemistry and Physics teacher.
