Xenia Christian Cross Country Teams Do Well at Buck Creek

The competition was heavy this past weekend at the Buck Creek Invitational in the midst of rain and mud. However, the Xenia Christian Cross Country teams proved that they could stand up to the competition as both the girls and boys teams placed 5th in team competition in a field of Division I, II, and III schools. “Many of the boys ran PR’s for their season today. It was a great meet and one that gave Xenia Christian confidence to move into the end part of our season.” Stated Coach Jim Preston. Top 5 boys were Drew Riggle, Noah Dean, Haakon Nelson, David Granduoiller, and Evan Ramey.
The girls team had an equally good day. The small team of 6 would not be out done by their competition. The first 5 girls crossed the finish line before 24 minutes. The girls were Bethany Norman, Carrie Clauson, Sarah Kensinger, Natalie Clauson, and Caitlin O’Guin. “The girls are starting to reach peak times, and they are all running well. We are looking for a great finish to this season.” Commented Coach Robin Norman.
