Metro Buckeye Qualifiers For Cross Country Regionals

The schools in the Metro Buckeye Conference did well this past Saturday in District competition in cross country. Both Conference Champions, Bethany Norman of Xenia Christian, and Kyle Klingler of Troy Christian ran solid races and placed 3rd to qualify individually for Regionals. The remaining girls from Xenia Christian ran extremely well and as a team they took 3rd and will be moving on to Regionals this weekend. The Xenia Christian girls: Bethany Norman, Carrie Clauson, Sarah Kensinger, Caitlin O’Guin, Natalie Clauson, and Morgan Phillips will be the only team representing the Metro Buckeye Conference this year at Regionals.
However, many of the Metro Buckeye teams did put forth great effort Saturday and narrowly missed qualifying. Troy Christian boys placed 5th, Xenia Christian boys placed 5th, Emmanuel Christian boys placed 6th, and Yellow Springs girls placed 7th.
Other individual qualifiers for Regionals are Drew Riggle from Xenia Christian, Wes Haney, Micah Bragg, and Megan Ball from Emmanuel Christian, Lois Miller from Yellow Springs, Grant Albrecht from Dayton Christian, and Becca Wheeler from Middletown Christian. Good luck to all the Regional qualifiers this weekend.
