Dayton Christian Names New Athletic Director


Message flagged Sunday, June 17, 2012 10:12 PM Dayton Christian to name Mark Combs as it's new Athletic Director. Mark is a 33 year veteran teacher from the Carlisle school system. Mark has coached basketball, tennis, track and field, and cross county during those 33 years in both the Carlisle and DCS school systems. Mark currently is the 8th Boys Basketball and Varsity Boys Track Coach at DCS; he will giving up those duties when stepping into the DC AD role.

Mark holds a B.S. in Elementary Education, a M.S. in Theology and a M.S. in School Counseling. He ans his wife, Chris, have 6 children, four of which are now adults and have graduated from DCS. They will have two sons in the school system next school year, Stephen a Senior and Micah a Freshmen. Chris (his wife) is a teacher in the DCS Homechool program and Mark's father-in-law is Tony Alonzo, the former long-time DCS Human Resources Director who retired in 2011.

Mark's first day on the job will be Monday June 25th and my last day at DC will be Friday June 29th. Please help us welcome Mark to his new opportunity.
