DC Soccer Heads to State Semis

Soccer The boys Varsity soccer team erased a 2-1 deficit on Saturday,
defeating Madeira 3-2 and claiming their 2nd ever Regional Championship. The
Warriors are state-bound and heading to the Final Four!

The 1-1 tie was broken just 4 minutes into the second half by Madeira, but
the Warriors continued their relentless attack and never lost hope in
themselves. With 23 minutes remaining, Colin Klein picked out Noah Alexander
who flicked the ball onto Sam Reid. Reid struck the ball into the top corner
from 25 yards out. Momentum swung back into favor of the Warriors. 11 minutes
later the Warriors countered again. Sam Reid slipped the ball across the back
line to oncoming Noah Alexander, who dribbled around the Madeira goalkeeper,
and slotted the finish into the back of the net.

The Warriors held on for the grueling final 12 minutes and then the
celebration began! The team advances to 19-2-1 on the year and is heading to
the Final Four for just the second time in school history (1982). Dayton
Christian will face off against Grandview Heights on Wednesday at 7:00 pm at
London High School. Tickets are $8.00.
