Dayton Christian tabs Adrian Sellers to rebuild wrestling program

DAYTON, Ohio (June 1, 2020) – Dayton Christian School has selected a new varsity wrestling coach to rebuild its once storied wrestling program.
Adrian Sellers has been tabbed as the new varsity wrestling coach at Dayton Christian for the 2020-2021 school year.
“I am excited to welcome Adrian to our strong coaching staff,” said Ben Shroyer, athletic director at Dayton Christian. “Adrian brings to our wrestling program great coaching experience, a keen passion for the sport of wrestling, and a dynamic vision for rebuilding our program from the youth to the varsity level. He is ready to get started with our wrestlers and I am excited to see our wrestlers develop under his tutelage with a Christ-centered focus.”
Sellers brings to Dayton Christian over 11 years of coaching experience which includes eight years as a wrestling coach. Sellers was most recently the head junior high wrestling coach at Lakota Ridge for three seasons where we saw 19 wrestlers place at the conference meet. Sellers also served as an assistant wrestling coach within the Dayton Christian youth wrestling program from 2013-2017. He will also be an assistant varsity football coach at Dayton Christian.
“One of my goals is to re-establish Dayton Christian wrestling as a great program in the now and into the future,” stated Sellers. “My vision is for this to happen from the youth to the varsity level with a focus on skill and talent development. I want to honor God with the way I coach and for all of our wrestlers to give Him the glory on the mat.”
